I believe a food becomes viral when it tastes really good. It does not matter whether Tiktok or Reels or Shorts or a blog post makes that viral. The taste has to be the star of the show. That's what captures people's hearts and makes them want to give it a try. It's a combination of the flavors and the ease of preparation that makes a recipe go viral.

Ingredients you need
Marry-Me Chichek is a new and exciting concept, and it's clear that some changes and modifications are on the way or already being implemented. Of course, with any new idea or concept, there are certain elements that must remain in order for it to be successful. In my opinion, the three essential ingredients for this recipe are good-quality chicken, Sun-dried or dried tomatoes, Fresh Cream and Cheese. For the rest, you can check the recipe card and also the "Substitution" section of this post.
Substitutions
- Cheese - You will find Parmesan is the preferred option so far. I have made this with both Parmesan and Mozzarella and one time with a mixture of both. Universally Mozzarella is easily available over Parmesan and I prefer the creamy texture it leaves. If available for sure add Parmesan however, Mozzarella works beautifully.
- Herbs - I use a mixture of fresh and dried herbs- Fresh Parsley and Dried Oregano. This is because these two are easily available. If not, use dried parsley instead of fresh and mixed herbs instead of Oregano. In fact, use Thyme if available either fresh or dried.
- Sun-dried Tomatoes - they are a must for the recipe of Marry Me Chicken. However, what if you are not available with sun-dried tomatoes at home? Well, I make those at home rather instantly. I just called those dried tomatoes instead of Sun-dried tomatoes and they work more than fine. I will be sharing the recipe for Dried Tomatoes soon here!
Variations
- Spicy - add more chili pepper flakes while cooking to imbue heat into the dish,
- Deluxe - go for a mixture of Parmesan Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese while cooking the Marry Me Chicken.
- Kid-friendly - go low with the spices and try to serve the marry me chicken with a side of mashed potatoes instead of rice!
Equipment
All you need is a chopping board, a good knife, and a good wok along with a spatula!
Top tip to cook perfect Marry Me Chicken
Combine Mozzarella Cheese and Parmesan Cheese to make Marry Me Chicken. Go for at least one fresh herb and do not skip Dried Tomatoes!
Storage
I never have to store the Marry Me Chicken. However, if you have to store it use an airtight container for 2-3 days. You must refrigerate it after it comes to room temperature.
Frequently Asked Questions - Marry Me Chicken!
Okay, the name is funny- Marry Me Chicken and a bit irritating to my taste! I understand they took the idea of the way to a man's heart is through his stomach rather seriously. Basically, the idea is if you make it for your partner, there is a chance that you receive the marriage proposal soon! It tastes that good
The combination of flavors in this easy-to-cook chicken curry is truly unique and incredibly scrumptious. Sun-dried tomatoes give it a slightly smoky flavor that is perfectly balanced with the rich creaminess imparted by the cheese. Every single bite of the perfectly cooked chicken will melt in your mouth and the robust flavor of the curry will linger on your taste buds. This dish is sure to be a hit with anyone who loves flavorful yet simple dishes.
Yes. Go for Mozzarella Cheese and make creamier Marry-me chicken!
As this is a creamy chicken dish, there is a need to serve some kind of carbohydrate to make this complete. Pasta, Mashed Potatoes, sauteed veggies, steamed Rice, Herb Rice- you can select any one. I, however, prefer to serve to Marry Me Chicken with Steamed Rice.

- After adding the spices give a thorough mix.
- Add Sun-dried Tomatoes and after mixing those mash with the back of the spatula a bit.
- Let those cook for 2 minutes.
- Now add ⅓ of the Chicken Stock.
- I use homemade chicken stock.
- After adding the stock cook on low flame till the tomatoes melt and the gravy thickens.

- Once mixed add the remaining stock to dilute the mixture.
- Mix and bring it to a boil.
- Let the gravy thicken.

Notes
- You can coat the chicken pieces with all-purpose flour before frying them. I do not like to coat the chicken with flour for this recipe of marry me chicken. I prefer the chicken light, and the gravy smooth.
- I prefer to use Mozzarella cheese over Parmesan cheese. However, at times I top the MArry Me chicken with Parmesan.
- Sun-dried or Dried tomatoes are a must for this recipe. They give a tangy, smoky flavor.
- I prefer to use a mixture of fresh and dried spices. The choice is yours. Use whatever available.
