Olive Tree Product Review

Recently, Olive Tree Trading and FBAI surprised me with a generous box filled with goodies: 2 liters of double-toned milk, 2 liters of olive oil, and a kilogram of quinoa. The combination seemed a bit unusual at first! However, the challenge of using all these ingredients sparked my creativity. After some experimenting, I decided to create a veggie-packed Quinoa Pilaf with spice-infused paneer. My daughter Pasta especially loves this flavorful paneer, where I add seasonings during the making process to give it a savory kick.

I was particularly impressed with the quality of the quinoa from Olive Tree Trading and Food Blogger Association India, especially its pleasant aftertaste.

The milk was of great quality, and I've even used it in other recipes. I'm really happy with the paneer I made. I also used a liter of milk to make Sevian.

Speaking of the recipe, my Quinoa Pulao with spice-infused Paneer is a complete and nutritious meal. It's packed with quinoa, vegetables, and that delicious paneer. I used olive oil to stir-fry everything. It's not only a good source of nutrients, but it's also gluten-free! Quinoa, although technically a pseudocereal, has a unique texture, unlike rice or wheat. It has become incredibly popular since 2006, with prices almost tripling due to its popularity in countries like the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, China, and Japan. Now, it's becoming more well-known here in India too.

Tips

So, let's get right to the recipe for my Quinoa Pilaf with spice-infused Paneer! I make the paneer at home, adding my own special blend of spices and salt. Then, I load the pulao with veggies and just a hint of other seasonings. Cooking quinoa is very similar to cooking rice; however, it takes less time to cook.

Ingredients

To make the Spice infused Paneer

  • 1 Litre Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Mixed Herbs
  • ½ teaspoon Chili Flakes

To make Quinoa Pulao

  • 150 g Quinoa 1 Cup
  • 6 florets Cauliflower
  • ½ Cup Carrot dice
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • ½ Cup French Bean small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic Paste
  • 3 tablespoon Tomato Puree
  • ½ teaspoon Chili Flakes
  • 1 tsp. Salt To Taste
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

Instructions

Spice Infused Paneer

  • %Quinoa Pulao with spice infused Paneer
  • Boil the milk for 5 minutes on low flame and add salt, Chili flakes, and mixed herbs, and mix properly using a ladle.
  • Now, lower the flame and add lemon juice to curdle the milk and switch the flame off after curdling starts.
  • Wait till the temperature drops and discard the water from the curdled milk.
  • Take the curdled milk over a piece of cheesecloth and tie all the ends, and put a piece of weight over the same for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, remove the weight and, after opening the cloth, cut the paneer into pieces for further use.

  • Wash Quinoa and start boiling the same in a medium flame with 2 cups of water after covering the pan with a lid till all the water is absorbed and the quinoa is cooked properly.
  • In a pan, heat Olive oil and sauté the Paneer lightly.
  • Start frying the veggies in the remaining oil for 5-6 minutes or till the veggies soften.
  • Add salt, chili flakes, and mix properly.
  • Add boiled quinoa and mix thoroughly and cover the pan with a lid, and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Open the lid and mix the spice-infused Paneer chunks and serve Quinoa Pulao with spice-infused Paneer hot.
