When I Shifted my base to Kolkata from Gurgaon few months back I was a bit skeptical with few things which are not typically available in Kolkata as compared to NCR :'( . One of the major inclusions of this list is lesser available paths of interaction within the blogosphere 😉 ! Yes I mean it >:D ! In Delhi NCR it is easy to get possible ways to interact with the Blogger friends and that obviously includes awesome #Indiblogger Meets.
However, City if Joy has its own catalytic(+) effect and within a month I realized I am actually happy after returning to my own city after 8 years and to my surprise I got an invitation of a Indiblogger meet at Kolkata o_O !
Coming to the details of the Kolkata Indiblogger meet (held on 12 September 15) ; first thing I love about it is the choice of venue; typical, traditional Oberoi Grand at Esplanade; the area famous for shopping, hopping, food, movies etc. Kolkata got an Indiblogger meet after more than 4 years (I think the last one was in 2011) and we all have cherished every bit of it! This was my first ever meet wit the Kolkata Bloggers was It was nothing but good to meet with the fellow bloggers from same city; to interact with them; to know about the versatilities. It is nothing but good to see the blend of sparkling teens flourishing with their writing with experienced 60s with their charm and knowledge.
The meet was well managed, smartly coordinated by the Indiblogger team and leaded by Anoop and the meet was as colorful as the host i.e. Berger Paints (#Bergerxp). One thing I love about the meet is, though Berger was the host but they have used very less time for their crisp presentation with all necessary details. It was amazing to see the lot of Berger’s new machineries which can be used for home painting and the best part is, it will take hardly 1/3rd time as compared to the manual process of painting.
Group activities were really well planned and perfectly matching with the color of Berger paints. We all participated in a poster competition and it was amazing to see such splendid thought portrayed through the posters. My special mention is obviously the poster on “female feticide”! Such a beautiful depiction with minimal drawing!
Now coming to my forte i.e. Food 😛 ! It was good, delicious but they have opted for a safer menu as compared to another meet I have attended in Delhi with lots of live Stalls.
There were gifts too for different activities including best tweet reflecting the culture of the city and also for the poster competition. Apart from this each participant was gifted with a cure mug and burger’s painting guides which are really helpful in case anybody is planning for coloring of their nest with minimal time and human support.
Last but not the least, this meet was for interaction between the Calcutta bloggers and I believe we all have cherished every bit of the meet. It was a superb group of bloggers from different arena including Social sector, Fashion, Food, Lifestyle, Photography, technology and so on…..
My Treasured Moments with fellow Bloggers!
Let me end with the famous line: “Goodbyes are necessary before we meet again.” and I hope our paths will cross again in Kolkata! Hurrr Hurrrr!
Food for thought from the Kitchen of Debjani!
