Almost every Bong try to celebrate Puja and food plays a major role as part of the Durgotsav. Though in Kolkata, several Bong speciality restaurants are offering Pujo special buffet and few other cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore) etc. do have those options available but I prefer to make Puja special food at my place either as lunch or dinner (and opt for outside food for the consecutive one) and I believe there are many more alike me who prefer to cook at home at least one meal for each day of Puja. Every family has their own processes and rituals to follow as part of Durga Puja and specific days are specified for different types of food. In my place, I start cooking for Pooja from Panchami however, this year this is started from Chaturthi given Chaturthi is on Saturday. It is not that I make exotic or delicate food on each day of Pooja but I try to make something that is close to our heart. Here is my plan for Durga Pooja 2015!
I will update this post each day after cooking the food of the day and will try to post a recipe each day of Durga Pooja and final picture will be updated on last day!
