Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1¼  Cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 tablespoon Honey Sugar can be used
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 3 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tbsp. Dulce de Leche optional for topping
  • ½ cup Mix Fruit chunks optional to serve with the pancakes

Instructions

  • %Pancake Making
  • To make delicious pancakes, start by combining flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl. Mix these dry ingredients well with a spoon. For a lighter texture, sift the flour mixture once or twice.
  • Next, melt a tablespoon of butter and combine it with room-temperature milk.
  • In a separate bowl, add this milk and butter mixture to the flour mixture, along with honey and an egg.
  • Gently stir everything together with a spatula until you have a smooth batter without any lumps.
  • Stir in a splash of vanilla for extra flavor.
  • Now, melt the remaining butter in a non-stick pan over low heat.
  • Pour about three tablespoons of batter onto the melted butter. Use the back of a spoon to spread the batter into a nice round shape. Cook for about a minute, until the bottom is golden and bubbles start to appear on the top.
  • Cover the pan with a lid and continue cooking for another minute.
  • Remove the lid and flip the pancake to cook the other side until it's also golden brown.
  • Remove the pancake from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  • Serve your warm pancakes topped with a drizzle of Dulce de Leche and some fresh fruit pieces.

Notes

Notes

  • You can use either whole wheat flour or all-purpose flour for this recipe.
  • You can use sugar to sweeten the pancakes.
  • Instead of dulce de leche, any sweet syrup or jam works well too.

Serving Suggestion

I like to serve the pancakes with whatever fruits I have on hand, but that's completely up to you.
