Aromatic and flavourful, the traditional Bengali Niramish Ghugni is an absolute must-try! 

Soak Yellow Peas aka Gota Motor with salt overnight

Step 1

Pressure cook peas with turmeric powder. red chili powder, cumin powder and coriander powder. Check link for measurement and timing.

Step 2

Veggies needed

Fry Potato Cubes

Step 3

Fry Coconut chunks

Step 4

Make a paste wioth Turmeric Powder, Red Chili Powder, Cumin Powder and Coriander Powder, Sugar, salt, Mustard Oil and Water

Step 5

Temper oil with Bay leaf, Cumin seeds, Cinnamon, Cloves, Green Cardamom, dry red chili, and Asafetida

Step 6

Add tomato puree and ginger paste and cook

Step 7

Add spice paste and cook

Step 8

Add potato, peas and cook 

Step 8

After adding bhaja moshla and gorom moshla add fried coconut as weel and serve Niramish Ghugni hot
