Thoroughly rinse 6 medium-sized potatoes.
Rinse 200g of green beans as well.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into medium-thin strips.
Remove the ends of each French bean and slice the beans into strips, preferably in a slight rhombus shape.
Once again, rinse the sliced vegetables.
Now place the beans and potatoes in a bowl.
Mix in one teaspoon of salt, one teaspoon of turmeric powder, and one teaspoon of red chili powder.
After mixing, add one tablespoon of your preferred vegetable oil.
If you are using an air fryer, as I did in this recipe, you can omit the oil entirely.
Transfer the vegetables to the air fryer basket.
Here's a trick I'd like to share: cover the air fryer pan with a piece of aluminum foil before transferring the veggies. This way, it will be easy to clean the air fryer basket after using it.
Proceed to air fry the vegetables for a total of 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (around 350- 356°F).
To fry the aloo beans bhaja perfectly, mix in with a fork after 15 minutes of air frying and complete the remaining 15 minutes.
If necessary, continue air frying the vegetables for an additional 10-15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
The greatest advantage of using an air fryer is that you can step away and let it do its job without the need to stir or constantly monitor.
Once finished, transfer the fried potatoes and beans to a bowl and remove the aluminum foil.
The air fryer pan requires only a simple wash, as nothing sticks to it.
