Homemade Pizza Sauce Recipe

Easy homemade Pizza Sauce recipe using fresh tomatoes and selected spices. 


  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic (chopped)
  • 1 Tsp. Mixed Herbs
  • 3 Tbsp. Chili Garlic Oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper


  1. Make a paste of the tomatoes.
  2. Finely chop Onions.
  3. Now heat olive oil in a pan.
  4. Add chopped onion to it.
  5. Fry the onion till it changes color (translucent).
  6. While frying the onion, keep the flame low and fry for 2 minutes.
  7. Now add 2 Tbsp. Chili Garlic oil to the pan.
  8. Mix it properly with the onion.
  9. It will give an amazing color to the onion and you will be tantalized by the aroma!
  10. Now add chopped Garlic to the pan.
  11. Mix and cook for 1 minute.
  12. Now add 1/2 Tsp. Salt and mix.
  13. At this point add grated tomatoes to the pan.
  14. Mix properly with the spices.
  15. Cook till the raw aroma of the spices goes away completely.
  16. You need to cook for around 5 minutes on low flame.
  17. At this point add 1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper Powder to the mixture.
  18. Add 1/2 Tsp. Mixed Herbs as well and mix.
  19. By this time the mixture will release lots of moisture.
  20. You need to keep cooking on a low flame.
  21. It will take around 7 minutes to reach the desired consistency.
  22. In between add 1 Tsp. Sugar to the mixture.
  23. If needed adjust the salt.
  24. Remember that the sauce should have a balance.
  25. Once the sauce reaches the consistency, add 1 Tbsp. Chili Garlic oil and mix.
  26. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  27. Add 1/4 Tsp. of Italian herbs and mix.
  28. The sauce is ready.
  29. I prefer the not-so-smooth texture.
  30. If you prefer, you can transfer the sauce to a blender (once cooled) and blend) it to make it smooth.
