Kolkata-style Chicken Chaap Recipe

Chicken Chaap aka Chicken Chanp is a famous Mughlai delicacy and is a Kolkata favorite. Cooked with selected spices, this dish goes amazingly with Kolkata Biryani.

Step 1

Mix Hung Curd, Onion Paste, Ginger Paste, Garlic Paste, Red Chili Powder, Mellon seed paste, Gram flour, Garam Masala Powder, Turmeric Powder and Sugar and 1 teaspoon of Oil as well.

Step 2

Step 3

Remove chicken pieces from the marinade for frying. Heat the oil and fry chicken pieces one by one.

Step 4

Add Ghee to pan having remaining oil and Temper the oil with Cinnamon Stick, Clove, Mace, Green Cardamom and Black Cardamom. Add remaining marinade and cooking without adding water.

Step 5

Serve Chicken Chanp with Biryani or Naan
