Choshir Payesh is a famous Bengali Pithe Payesh aka Kheer mostly cooked in the winter. This is a signature Bengali dessert

Making choshi for payesh

make a fine powder of 100g rice and make a paste of the powder along with 1 Tbsp. Semolina.

Shaping Choshi

Use the mixture and make grain like  pieces.

Boil Milk

Boil 2 liters of full-cream milk along with 1 Tbsp. Ghee

Adding Choshi

Once the milk is cooked for 15 minutes , add choshi and keep boiling till the milk reduced to 1/3

Pathali Gur

We mostly use Pathali Gur that is Date palm Jaggery in Winter desserts. This recipe is =no exception

Adding Gur

Once the choshi are well-cooked and the milk reduced to 1/3, add 300g Date Palm Jaggery and keep cooking for 10 more minutes

Serve Choshir Payesh in room temparature
