It took me more than a month to coming up with the post and that is not because I was lethargic to write but to the things happened last month. However, the good thing is even after more than a month I still remember the cheesy pizza, Nazza and the Dal Makhni! You may wonder what is wrong with me; well nothing has happened to my memory but it is actually about my experience of sampling food at the vegetarian food joint Nawwarah. I am often being accused by my friends I am partial towards my portion of non-vegetarian food but believe me I give equal attention to the vegetarian spread if that is good enough and after being in North India for around 7 years Daal Makhni is a weak point. I actually am critical about my portion of Daal Makhani and I found it really good at Nawwarah. Opposite to Quest Mall, it is easy to locate Nawwarah and valet parking is available there. Decorated beautifully with Mediterranean touch this place mast get some goodie points for the décor. The blogger’s meet was planned at the lounge at 2nd floor.
We were served with four types of mocktails, Guava delight, Sex on the beach, Rose caviar and Atomic cat and I found Guava delight perfect for my taste buds with a tangy spicy mix with guava juice. Rest of the three mocktails were average for me.
We were offered with a large spread starting with Nazza where nan had been given the makeover with cheese and herbs to turn it into a Nan type pizza- Nazza. It was served with the Daal Makhani and it was authentic! Next item was the Paneer Khurchan and that was served with Baby Nan and again Daal Makhani and I grabbed that to cherish more. Next item was Amritsari Chole Kulche which followed by a big fat platter of Kebabs next, the Nawwarah Kebab Platter which to be very frank I didn’t like much, however, I found the open sandwich quite refreshing. Next item was the Arabic Felafel Rolls and those I found a dish worth paying with the size and taste.
However, after all these when we were almost ready to give up we were served with the four cheese Pizza with four different types of cheese, Mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan and processed cheese and the pizza was tricolor and was not loaded with unnecessary spices and I found it amazing. Finally, there was the cheesy risotto which though I tried but ended on having just one spoon as I a not a typical risotto lover but my friends enjoyed it a lot. Given I was drastically full with so many things and was late for another event (read Badshah’s musical night) I ended on skipping the dessert.
If you ask me, I found a few dishes there worth having and I am happy to go back there just for the sake of the Daal Makhani that reminded me the perfect thing I had in Delhi! The pizza was another thing to try out there.
