Description

Tandoori Masala or Tandoori Spice mix is a mixture of Indian spices used in making different Tandoori dishes


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Cumin Seed: 75g
  • Coriander Seed: 75g
  • Fenugreek Seed: 25g
  • Ginger Powder: 25g
  • Garlic Powder: 25g
  • Mace: 25g
  • Cinnamon Stick: 4”
  • Cloves: 25
  • Black Cardamom: 2
  • Green Cardamom: 6
  • Bay leaf: 1
  • Black Peppercorn: 30
  • Turmeric Powder: 25g
  • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder: 20g
  • Gram Flour: 50g


Instructions

  1. Dry roast Gram Flour in a pan for 2-3 minutes in medium flame till the flour emits nutty aroma.
  2. Switch the flame off and let the roasted gram flour cooled completely.
  3. Dry Roast Cumin Seed, Coriander Seed, Fenugreek Seed, Ginger Powder, Garlic Powder, Mace, Cinnamon Stick, Cloves, Black Cardamom, Green Cardamom, Bay leaf, Black Peppercorn, Turmeric Powder and Kashmiri Red Chili Powder all together in a pan for 3-4 minutes in medium flame and switch the flame off.
  4. Let the spices cooled completely and this may take around 10-15 minutes.
  5. Grind all the roasted spices along with roasted gram flour in dry jar of a grinder to make a smooth Powder.
  6. Take the Tandoori Masala Powder out of the jar and store in a sterilized airtight jar for future use.
