Description

An easy recipe for the famous Indian delicacy Besan Laddu. Following this recipe you can very easily make ladoo at home.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 500g Besan / Bengal Gram Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Sooji / Semolina
  • 500g Powdered Sugar
  • 250g Ghee/ Clarified Butter
  • 30 Almond (chopped)
  • 2 Tsp. Cardamom Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp. Saffron


Instructions

  1. Dry roast Besan along with Sooji in a deep vessel/ Karai for about 10 minutes in medium flame or till the mixture turns golden brown.
  2. Nutty aroma will come at this point.
  3. Melt Ghee in a Deep bottom pan.
  4. Now add roasted Besan and fry till it turns darker.
  5. Add cardamom powder and saffron strands and mix properly.
  6. Roast chopped almonds and mix those with the besan mixture thoroughly.
  7. Remove the mixture from flame and mix powdered sugar with it.
  8. Pour the mixture into a big plate and allow the mixture to cool.
  9. Now prepare small balls of the mixture depending on your preference for size.
  10. “Besan ki Laddu” is ready to serve.
  11. You can store Besan Laddu in an airtight container for several days.
